Malheur County, Oregon Sheriff's Deputies have admitted to being forced to illegally stop an activist for exposing criminal activity within the local rodeo business on their own dash cam.

The footage was obtained through Oregon public disclosure laws by Steve Hindi, a animal rights activist, and is irrefutable evidence that backup his claims that high ranking officers in the Malheur County Sheriff's office are involved in corruption and animal cruelty at the local "Big Loop Rodeo".

After stopping Hindi under claims of "failure to show ID after being trespassed", the Deputies return to their vehicle and can be heard talking about the stop unaware that their dash cam was still on, most likely due to being distracted by their guilt.

Sheriff's deputies can be heard saying "I didn't want to stop the man", and "It's all because of that rodeo board." Later the deputy realizes he was recording yelling "Dammit! I was still recording!"

Sheriff Brian Wolfe can be emailed at: bwolfe@malheurco.org Dan Norris, District Attorney, (541) 473-5127, and emailed at dnorris@malheurco.org
